FAN FEST MASCARA LAUNCH
The Fan Fest campaign was developed with distinct art directions for the product and model editorials while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across both. The pink corrugated backdrop used in the product photography echoes the black-and-white backgrounds featured in the model imagery and video, creating a subtle visual connection without competing for attention. This effect was achieved by drawing inspiration from the pop-art stripe motif and reinterpreting it through texture to create a softer, more integrated pattern.
Behind the Lens
The Fan Fest product editorial backdrop began as a simple corrugated cardboard surface (top image, before retouching). Through post-production, the texture was reshaped and refined (bottom image, after retouching) to reference the black-and-white pop art stripes used throughout the model imagery.
The distortion of the corrugated texture was intentionally aligned with the directional movement of the graphic elements (image below), creating a sense of continuity within the environment and guiding the viewer's eye fluidly across the composition.
